Silk Screener

Position Summary:

Screens printing on painted or plated sheet metal parts per blue print and customer specifications.

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Completes assignments in a timely manner
  • Meets production schedule for delivery requirements
  • Responsible to ensure all work and paperwork is accounted to the proper router or work order
  • Responsible for maintaining screen area organization
  • Maintain inventory of supplies for screens and artwork
  • Performs visual inspection of all material prior to painting
  • Checks quality of paints and thinners
  • Operates baking oven and monitors temperature and bake cycle times
  • Performs miscellaneous related assignments such as masking, wrapping, etc.

Assembler

POSITION SUMMARY / OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the assembly, inspection, re-work and modification on various Electro-Mechanical assemblies while maintaining a high level of quality.
  • Adheres to all Company Policy & Procedures and Department Procedures.
  • Brings to the attention of management, problems which affect the production / quality of the area for which responsible.
  • Completes all assignments in a timely manner and procedures are followed.
  • Meets production schedules on delivery requirements.
  • Works with hands and hand tools in piecing together wires, cables, EMI clips, sheetmetal parts and other miscellaneous parts.
  • Responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory status and all parts are clearly labeled as to part number quantity and work order.
  • Ensures all parts are available before starting a specific job by checking the part sheets.
  • Uses Allen wrenches, crimping tools, clamping tools, rivet guns, hand drills, screwdrivers, Exacto knives, torque wrenches, wire strippers, adhesives, and hand tools to cut, form and bond parts dependent on the job at hand.
  • Build electrical power and signal cables to specs, ground test, Hipot tests, functional testing and build sheetmetal assemblies.
  • Works with limited supervision, blueprints and router sheets.
  • Package all completed assemblies.
  • Must be able to use small hand tools, rivet guns, hand drills, screwdrivers, wrenches and other small tools required for electrical assembly.
  • Able to distinguish the difference between acceptable and non-acceptable parts.
  • Must be able to interpret customer drawings, bill of materials and workmanship specifications under supervision.

Press Brake Operator

POSITION SUMMARY / OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Under limited supervision, responsible for setting up and running simple to medium type of proven production jobs on Amada style brake machines within a specified time frame.
  • Adheres to all Company Policy & Procedures and Department Procedures.
  • Coordinates with Engineering and Brake operators to ensure full understanding of each job.
  • Set up proven jobs, using MPI if available, according to standards.
  • Evaluate the need to add or delete an operation for proper job costing.
  • Ensures the development of parts are flawless; of top quality.
  • Ensure manufacturing drawings are complete.
  • Monitor cycle times and calculate PPH.
  • Completes cost over run ticket when a job exceeds the time allotted and provides supervisor with new cycle times and PPH.
  • Complete SPC charts as required by SPC Guidelines.
  • Responsible for in process inspections if certified. Knowledge of sheetmetal tolerances, bend relief’s, notches and tooling holes.
  • Good Blueprint reading skills.
  • Knowledge of all Punch and Dyes used with Amada.
  • Has basic knowledge of inspection equipment in the manufacturing area.
  • Work in a shop environment with a medium level noise and metal dust.
  • Use calipers, protractors, screw drivers, Allen wrenches and a calculator with trig functions.
  • Proven ability to fix tapers on flanges and angle problems on parts.
  • Demonstrated good hand/eye coordination.

Amada CNC Operator

POSITION SUMMARY / OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Under general supervision, operates Amada computer controlled machines to produce quality parts. Requires a working knowledge of various processes and operations to meet production requirements.
  • Adheres to all Company Policy & Procedures and Department Procedures.
  • Coordinates each job with Set up person to ensure full understanding.
  • Do simple set-ups on proven jobs according to standards.
  • Safely loads any tools and dies necessary for each individual job.

Hardware Operator

  • Under direct supervision, a Hardware Operator works from Blueprints and Routers in installing hardware where designated, on sheetmetal parts.

  • Perform repetitious tasks while keeping an eye for detail.
