Our
Engineering staff stays abreast of an ever-changing technical environment and is ISO certified. We use Pro/Engineer as our Native software. We can also work with native SolidWorks and Auto-CAD files to interface with our Customers design needs. We take full advantage of the power and accuracy of parametric modeling, using our years of sheetmetal experience for Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
Customer supplied CAD models containing basic part information can be imported into Pro/Engineer where we create shop ready drawings eliminating the need for customer supplied fully dimensioned drawings. We use Metalsoft 3D unfolder to develop the 2D flat layout, which is then checked by our Design Verification process. Once the D/V process is completed, the part will be coded for the CNC turret, LASER, combination machine or waterjet. We use Metalsoft Fabriwin software to code for all the machines except the waterjet. It is programmed using Flowpath & Flowcut software.

Workstations
The company possesses over 225 workstations dedicated to Engineering,
Administrative, Data Collection, coding and MIS support. All of
these workstations are connected via a state of the art Ethernet
network connecting to a backbone 100 BT which attaches our File,
Database and Application servers. Full system backups are done daily.

Prototype Models
Almost
a shop within a shop - some of MASS’ most experienced and skilled
craftsmen perform near miracles in quick turn-around of vitally
needed, precision made prototypes. The demands of accelerated product
development lend increased urgency in the making of pre-production
models. CAD data being used for a prototype is often concurrently
adapted to the design of soft tooled pre-production runs, while
being analyzed for high production hard tooling - all progressing
within the same time frame.
Prototype
capabilities include stamping, embossing, drawing, laser cutting,
bending, Silkscreening, Painting, Contouring and Post Plating.
HOW
TO SEND YOUR DATA
There are several ways
to electronically send your data to MASS Precision. Below is a list
of the different ways to transfer your files.
CD-ROM / DVD
FTP - Use our FTP site
ftp.massprecision.com
Web - MASS Engineers
may retrieve files from your web site.
Email - Customers may
e-mail files directly to our engineers.
