State of the art inspection equipment and methodology combine to provide the customer with the assurance that their products will meet specification. Coordinate measuring machines, both contact (shown above) and optical, are used to provide SPC data and process capability analysis to the Customer, as well as for internal audit purposes.
MASS is proud to announce it is the first contract manufacturer certified to I.S. EN ISO13485:2003 (The International Standard For Medical Devices). MASS's capabilities now include contract design, manufacture, assembly, refurbishing and testing of metal components and Electro-mechanical Assemblies for (non-sterile) Medical Applications.
MASS Precision embodies "Commitment to Quality" in the following elements:
Quality Planning
We plan all aspects of our business. Annual quality objectives, such as cost of quality, defect analysis, and defect prevention, responsiveness, and internal audits are all incorporated in the framework of daily business. We conduct regular formal management reviews of key processes, systems and quality metrics. We utilize specific planning techniques such as the NPI process, which defines the flow of a product from sales analysis, through estimating, engineering, and prototype to production. Advanced quality techniques such as AQP, FMEA design verification (DFM), and quality engineering checklists are some of the tools engaged.
Continuous Improvement
We examine methods to regularly improve our personnel through extensive training and to improve all processes within our business. MASS refers to this process as "raising the bar” for continuous improvement. Objectives are clearly defined, progress measured & analyzed, and results recognized. Results are analyzed by Sr. Quality Team Members weekly, and challenged to improve again, thus "raising the bar". Formal CIP is structured into regular management review, as well as in every level of the organization. Self-Directed Work Teams are in place that set goals, measure, analyze and report results. Corporate training programs, which are administered & assessed by Human Resources, ensure that all MASS employees are participating in continuous upgrades to their skills and roles at MASS Precision.
Customer Satisfaction
Ultimately, our focus remains on Customer satisfaction, and is rewarded with continued business from current Customers and opportunities from new Customers. We seek feedback from our Customers through a variety of means (surveys, feedback logs, quotation capture rates, etc.) to understand your expectations relative to such issues as specifications, lead-times, systems capabilities, DPPM expectations and responsiveness to the Customer's needs. We conduct regular Formal Management reviews of key processes, systems, and quality metrics are held monthly to maintain our focus on Customer satisfaction.
